How Dr. Winmore pays: clusters on a honeycomb grid
Most slots in the lobby pay along lines or ways that run from left to right. A cluster game drops the direction. Springbok's review describes a honeycomb grid of five reels on which a win is four or more matching symbols joined horizontally or vertically, wherever they sit.
That has a practical side effect. The game's entry in the lobby's data includes a line-count field, but a cluster game does not pay on lines, so that number describes nothing useful and is left off this page and the spec sheet. The WILD named on the tile is the substitute that can complete a group.
Cascades and the multiplier ladder
The tile lists cascading wins and multipliers. Put together with Springbok's review, a paying spin runs like this:
A cluster pays
Four or more touching symbols of one kind form a win.
The winners clear
The winning symbols drop out and new ones fall into the gaps, all within the spin you already paid for.
The multiplier climbs
The review gives x2 on the first cascade, rising to x6 from the fifth cascade on. It does not list the steps in between, so neither do we.
The chain stops
When the refill forms no new cluster, the sequence ends.
The upper steps of that ladder only come into play on long chains of cascades, so the x6 figure is a best case rather than a normal spin.
The robot symbols
Springbok's review describes robots that clear a column, a row, both at once, or the positions around them. Cleared positions leave room for new symbols, which is why the robots matter in a cascading game. Our record of the review does not say how often they appear or whether they must be part of a win to act.
Low volatility and a 300x top prize
Dr. Winmore is one of only two documented slots with a low volatility label; the other is Mighty Drums, a ways game in the Popular tab. Low volatility describes how returns are spread, in smaller and more frequent amounts, not whether a session ends ahead.
Springbok's review sets the top prize at 300x the bet. Many of its newer RTG reviews quote ceilings of 50,000x the line bet or a few thousand times the total bet, so 300x is modest by comparison, and it fits the low label. The reviews measure in different units (line bet, base bet, total bet), so compare ceilings with care.
Dr. Winmore beside the lobby's other cascading slots
Cascades are not rare in the lobby, but the way each game pays and multiplies differs a good deal.
| Slot | How it pays | Volatility | Multipliers, as published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dr. Winmore | Clusters of 4+ (Springbok review) | low | x2 rising to x6 across cascades (Springbok review) |
| Sweet 16 Blast! | Pays anywhere | medium | A multiplier symbol, values not published |
| Olympus Thunderhold | 6 reels x 5 rows, pays anywhere (8+ matching symbols) | medium | 2x to 100x symbols, free games only |
| Seahorse Surge | 6 reels x 4 rows · 30 paylines | medium | Wild multipliers x1 to x5 in free games |
All four keep paying inside one spin as long as new wins form. Among them, Dr. Winmore is the only one whose multiplier is tied to the number of cascades, by Springbok's account, and the only one with a low label.
Finding Dr. Winmore and trying it with the free chip
The Slots tab lists Dr. Winmore at 47 of 244, between Doragon's Gems and Dragon Feast; the "Dr." sorts it among the D titles. Because it sits on none of the lobby's shortcut tabs, the full list is the way in; the Springbok slots guide explains how it is ordered.
If you have not deposited yet, coupon TEST-SPRINGBOK adds a R250 chip that can be spent on Dr. Winmore. A low label makes this a calm game for a chip, but with R15,000 of wagering, count it as free time on the grid rather than money in the bank. On the cash-out limit Springbok contradicts itself. Springbok's promotions page and T&Cs cap it at R1,250; several older Springbok pages still say R500. Sources disagree · 9 Oct 2026

Yes. The lobby tile calls it a cluster game, and Springbok's review says wins are four or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically on a honeycomb grid.
How many paylines does Dr. Winmore have?
None that matter: it pays on clusters, not lines. The lobby's data has a line-count field for it, but we leave that out because it does not describe how the game pays.
What is the maximum win on Dr. Winmore?
Springbok's review gives a top prize of 300x the bet.
How does the Dr. Winmore multiplier work?
By Springbok's review, cascades carry a multiplier of x2 on the first one, climbing to x6 from the fifth cascade on.
