How Planet Of The 'Roos plays
The tile is brief: 25 paylines, a volatility label and two feature names. The detail below comes from Springbok's press release for the game, so it is Springbok's description rather than something printed on the tile.
'Roo Coin Hold & Spin
Six or more 'Roo Coin bonus symbols start the Hold & Spin round, Springbok says, with three re-spins. Springbok ties four jackpots to this round, the Grand among them, but publishes no amounts, and this site never quotes them. The release does not say whether a new coin resets the re-spins; the game's help screen will.
Free games from the 'Roo Palace
Three or more 'Roo Palace scatters award up to 10 free games, and an oversized scatter landing on reels 2 to 4 can add 5 more, per Springbok's figures. The words "up to" matter: the release gives the ceiling, not how many games three scatters pay on their own.
The grid and the top win
Springbok describes a 5x3 grid and a top win of 50,000x the bet. That second figure needs a caveat: Springbok writes "the bet" here, while its reviews of recent slots such as Crimson Castle and Treasure Sparks put the same multiple per line. Check the paytable before reading it as a multiple of your whole stake, and treat it as a rare ceiling, not a likely result.
Release year, studio label and theme
The year. Springbok's press release announcing the game is dated 31st January 2023, yet it talks about helping players get 2024 started. The lobby's own release date, 31 January 2024, settles it in favour of 2024, and that is the date this site uses.
The label. The lobby marks 49 of its games IG rather than RTG, and this is one of them. Springbok never explains the tag, and its site footer shows only the Realtime Gaming badge; our guide to the RTG and IG labels at Springbok sets out what is known. The tag changes nothing about how you play: same lobby, same cashier, same bonus rules.
The theme. The lobby's own theme field calls it a warrior title, which does not match Springbok's preview of kangaroos ruling an alien world. We go by the preview and the name.
Planet Of The 'Roos and other coin-collecting slots
Rounds where bonus symbols lock in place and re-spin are common in Springbok's lobby. These documented slots share the idea:
| Slot | Label | Volatility | Lines | Coin round |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Planet Of The 'Roos | IG | medium | 25 paylines | Hold & Spin on 'Roo Coins, four jackpots |
| Treasure Sparks | RTG | medium | 5 reels x 3 rows · 25 paylines | Hold & Spin with three scatter collectors, four jackpots |
| Big Cat Links | RTG | high | 50 paylines | Fortune Link on gold coins, five jackpot tiers |
| Fortunate Buddha | RTG | medium | 50 paylines | Fortune Link, five jackpot tiers |
On paper, Treasure Sparks is the nearest match: the same line count, the same volatility label and four named jackpots. It is much newer, though, at number 2 in the New Games tab. Big Cat Links and Fortunate Buddha use Fortune Link instead, also triggered by coins, with an extra jackpot tier above the Grand. And if the IG label is what interests you, Lion's Lair is the only other IG slot with a page on this site, a very different game built around a local random jackpot.
Finding Planet Of The 'Roos in the lobby
It sits in the Slots tab only, at title 144 of 244 in A-to-Z order, right after Pig Winner and just before Plentiful Treasure. It was not in the Popular, New Games or 2X Double Comps tabs on 9 October 2026. Every game in the lobby is marked mobile-enabled, so it plays on a phone too. For the whole tab, see the guide to Springbok's slots.
Planet Of The 'Roos with the free chip
The R250 no-deposit chip, coupon TEST-SPRINGBOK, can be played here, but the coin round needs six 'Roo Coins, so on a small balance a good share of the chip may go before Hold & Spin shows up. With R15,000 in bets to clear, treat the chip as a free look at the game rather than a likely payout.
Questions people ask
Who makes Planet Of The 'Roos?
Springbok's lobby labels it IG rather than RTG, a tag Springbok does not explain. The site's footer shows only Realtime Gaming (RTG) as its software brand.
When was Planet Of The 'Roos released at Springbok?
The lobby gives 31 January 2024. Springbok's press release carries an earlier dateline but speaks of getting 2024 started, so the lobby date is the one to go by.
How does the Hold and Spin feature work in Planet Of The 'Roos?
Springbok says six or more 'Roo Coin bonus symbols trigger it, with three re-spins and four jackpots including the Grand. No jackpot amounts are published.
How many free games does Planet Of The 'Roos give?
Up to 10 on three or more 'Roo Palace scatters, plus 5 more if an oversized scatter lands on reels 2 to 4, according to Springbok.
